Nigerians whose loved ones have fallen victim to internet fraud have narrated their experiences and how the actions of these so-called "Yahoo boys" almost tore their families apart.

One of the Twitter users narrated the story of a friend's brother who committed suicide after he was duped by internet fraudsters. His death tore his family apart, starting with his mother who couldn't take the death of her only son, so she died in her sleep months later.
Others also shared their stories and experiences of being duped.
But fraud apologists reacted, claiming everyone who falls victim to fraudsters did so because they were greedy.
However, Twitter users pointed out that anyone can fall victim, especially considering how crafty these fraudsters can be, including the ones who send messages posing as your bank and ask you to supply confidential information about your account.
