tragic and sad incident has claimed the life of a National Youth
Service Corps member who went to celebrate the end of his service year
alongside his friends.
A National Youth Service Corps member identified as Joseph Adebayo
who went on a picnic to celebrate the end of his service year has
drowned.
It was gathered that the sad incident happened on Thursday, inside Gubi river in the outskirts of Bauchi.
The deceased, along with two of his colleagues, had boarded a
faulty canoe, which capsized. The two others were rescued by villagers,
while Adebayo got drowned.
The corpse of Adebayo, 26, who hails from Ogun state, was recovered
on Friday and deposited at the mortuary of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa
University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi.
His former schoolmate, Cecilia Eastal Chemical Akinlabi left a touching tribute and said:

I heard this yesterday and I jumped up on my sick bed.
And started crying ......
When I received the call from YKTIN I was like no it can't be
that u still comment of my pics 3days ago. No it cant be Joseph.......
How I wish my tears can bring u back to life I will do that without stopping

One of the brilliant student I do wish am like when I was in secondary school...
We write the SSCE exams together and we never dreamt of this.......

U are the right hand of our chemistry teacher Kembi Richard just because of your passion for it.......
I pray God give your family especially your mummy have to bear this pain....
