Deputy Senate President Ekweremadu has reportedly been in EFCC custody for over 7-hours and social media is reacting with his party members Reno Omokri and Femi Fani Kayode leading the charge.
According to Reno, ''Ekweremadu is still in EFCC custody after 7 hours. This is the same EFCC that has not charged Babachir Lawal, a proven THIEF! This is the same EFCC that did not investigate the $25 billion NNPC contracts awarded without due process. EFCC should just change their name to APC-EFCC'.
Femi Fani Kayode also wrote, 'Using EFCC to lock up my friend and brother Dep. Senate President Ike Ekweremadu changes nothing. It is yet another manifestation of Buhari's obsessive paranoia and morbid fear. Ekweremadu,who is innocent of any wrongdoing,will be vindicated and Buhari will soon be out of power'.
