7 passengers in a Passat car and 2 people riding on a motorcycle all lost their lives in the fatal accident. The passengers in the car had left Ohafia for Umuahia when the car they were in crashed between Ohafia and Abam.
One of the victims is a lady who had her traditional marriage days prior and was journeying back to Umuahia. The driver of the Passat, who also died in the crash, had just welcomed a baby girl.
