In a series of tweets, the party specifically mentioned the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremmadu, as well as Governors Nyesom Wike and Ayo Fayose of Rivers and Ekiti States respectively as some PDP members marked out for humiliation by the APC.
Ekweremadu, who is presently standing trial for undeclared asset, has accused former Chief Judge of Enugu State, Justice Innocent Umezulike and presidential aide, Mr. Okoi Obono-Obla, of running a smear campaign against him.

Today, in our country, there is an orchestrated plan by the ruling @APCNigeria led FG to use the state apparatus of power to coerce, emasculate and effectively decapitate opposition and other dissenting voices, foist a one-party state and push a self-succession bid for @MBuhari pic.twitter.com/F4dVCmAbtE— Official PDP Nigeria (@OfficialPDPNig) April 11, 2018
Currently, the @APCNigeria has fully commenced a major onslaught on leaders and key voices in the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), particularly our state governors, opposition leaders in the National Assembly as well as our presidential hopefuls.— Official PDP Nigeria (@OfficialPDPNig) April 11, 2018
You are already aware of the numerous exposed plots by the APC and its FG to frame up and humiliate the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremmadu, as well as PDP governors, particularly, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike & his Ekiti state counterpart, @GovAyoFayose pic.twitter.com/14ZTEkaBwj— Official PDP Nigeria (@OfficialPDPNig) April 11, 2018
This nation belongs to all us, we are equal stakeholders and it lies in the hands of the electorate to decide who holds any elective office at any level and not the dictatorship of the government of the day. @APCNigeria— Official PDP Nigeria (@OfficialPDPNig) April 11, 2018
We therefore directly caution the @MBuhari administration to desist from this attempt at foisting a siege mentality on the political class and citizenry as if we are under a military regime.@APCNigeria— Official PDP Nigeria (@OfficialPDPNig) April 11, 2018
