BREAKING.....Turkish school Children Kidnappers, kingpin, General Kakadu, arrested
Hehehe.....In a tactical bid to rescue the kidnapped students and officials of the Nigeria-Turkish International School, Isheri, Ogun State, the police high command has picked one of the suspected mastermind of the abduction.
The suspect, Philip Joel Kakadu (aka General Kakadu) was arrested yesterday by the officials of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) in Warri, Delta State.
General Kakadu has reportedly confessed that five of his men were among the abductors of the Turkish school students and officials.
He was quoted as saying: “I am not the mastermind of the Turkish school kidnap, but another group invited five of my men. I control 32 ‘soldiers’ but only five joined in this kidnap.”
Also arrested by IRT operatives led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari is another gang member, Romeo Council (aka Raw).
A senior police officer told Daily Sun: “In an effort to rescue the Turkish school students and officials and dismantle the leadership of the militants terrorising, kidnapping and robbing banks in Lagos, Ogun and South South, as directed by the IGP, the overall leader, General Kakadu, who introduced bank robbery and kidnappings to pipeline vandals, was picked up in Warri.
“Kakadu, a native of Egbema, and his fellow gang member, Raw, a native of Bomadi, were arrested in Warri, where they came to spend their loot.
“General Kakadu has confessed he was responsible for the Lekki, Ikorodu, Festac and Agbara bank robbery in Lagos. He has also confessed he was responsible for the kidnapping of Oniba of Iba, Isheri landlords and many others in Ogun State.
“He also mentioned the names of five of his boys who participated in the Turkish International School kidnap. He has 25 AK 47 rifles.”
The source further said the police picked Kakadu to send warning signal to the kidnappers that “we know who they are. Their leader is talking with them and I know they will understand that we are not playing.”
Meanwhile, the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos, Kayode Aderanti has disassociated the police from any ransom negotiation between the families of the abducted students and school officials and the kidnappers.
“We are not aware of any demand for ransom. As far as the police are concern, we are not aware of any ransom and we don’t support it. We are making efforts to arrest the culprits and rescue the victims.”
