Policemen have been deployed to secure the Assakio Central Mosque in Nasarawa state following the discovery of an image of the Cross in the premises.
The appearance of the crucifix in the vicinity of the mosque left people in awe as hundreds of people from the area and neighboring places trooped to the place for deliverance.
The Cross, which is considered the symbol of Christ, was illuminated on the ground close to the mosque.

The state commissioner of police, Mr. Abubakar Bello, who visited the scene of the strange sighting, revealed the deployment of security officials to the area.
Bello also visited the house of Osula Inarigu, the paramount ruler in the town, advising the people to try to live in peace with each other as that would bring about development.
The police chief stated that the appearance of the Cross should not lead to controversy in the area which as security had been beefed-up.
Inarigu also advised the people to live in harmony irrespective of their religious differences.
Some Nigerians are already interpreting reports of the mysterious sighting to mean the supremacy of one religion above the other.
However, others have doubted the credibility of the appearance of the strange cross, describing it as a fraud.
Hajara Hussaini disclosed that she was the first to see the light in the shape of a cross on Wednesday, September 28 when her mother sent her on an errand.
Her mother, Matan Liman also confirmed the strange appearance and said her
daughter was gripped with fear when she returned.
Some time ago, hundreds of people had trooped to Saint Augustine’s Catholic Church which is located in the Nenger area of Makurdi in Benue State following the appearance of an image’ of Jesus Christ.
The church, which is situated behind Government Model College, became a beehive of activities for Catholic and non-Catholic worshipers after a bright image fell on the crucifix of Jesus.
