Globacom formally launched Nigeria’s largest 4G LTE network at its head office in Victoria Island, Lagos on
Tuesday, October 4, 2016.
Within
24 hours of launch, over 15,000 subscribers registered for the service
across the country. The momentum has since been maintained with
thousands
of people connecting to the network across the country.
The
eight new locations have joined the nine cities the operator launched
4G LTE in last week, namely Lagos- Lekki, Ikoyi, V.I, Ajah and Akoka
(South
West), Port Harcourt- Aba Road, Trans Amadi, Diobu, Old GRA and
UNIPort, Warri, Eket and Benin (South South), Abuja- Maitama, Wuse,
Asokoro, Garki/Central Business District and Airport Road and Jos (North
Central), Yola – ABTI (North East) and Zaria- ABU (North
West).

commitment is to give Nigerians access to this advanced network
wherever they may be located in this country. It’s a lot of investment,
but
Globacom is committed to making it so that our subscribers can enjoy
the best of telecommunications services at home, at work or on the

Through
the brand new Glo 4G LTE network, Globacom offers instant efficient
mobile broadband internet to millions of Nigerians at speeds multiple
times faster than the 3G network, enabling subscribers to download
ultra high definition videos in seconds.
The
company is also offering a brand new 4G LTE router which gives access
to Ultra High Speed Internet and landline, with free SIM, 60 GB of
shareable
data valid for a month and free world-class content for a one-off fee
of N31,000. For those who prefer MiFi, Globacom is bundling its 4G MiFi
with free SIM, 60 GB of shareable data valid for one month and free
world-class content for a one-off fee of N25,000.
Glo
4G LTE comes with such benefits as free access to millions of music,
video and movie on demand, among others. Available 4G data bundles
include
N500 for a whopping 1.6GB of data, N1000 for 3.2GB data and 7.5GB for
N2000. Others include 10GB for N2,500, 18GB for N4000 and 24GB for
N5000.
To
join the most advanced network, customers are required to buy and
register a 4G LTE Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) or swap his or her
existing
SIM for a 4G SIM, get a 4G phone and dial *777# to buy a data plan.
