WHAT A SHAME......POLICE AND ARMY ARE FIGHTING OVER RICE......SEE

hehehe....One Police officer has been confirmed killed in a shootout between soldiers and Policemen at the Government House Maiduguri following disagreement over the distribution of rice.


As at the time time of filling this report, shootings are still ongoing, while the State Governor is said to have been trapped in his office, as other civilians flee for their lives.
Eye witness reports have it that, trouble started on Thursday morning when soldiers who had gone to the Government House to take delivery of their share of rice, were denied entry by the police, following which they attempted to force themselves, resulting into physical combat.

Our correspondent who was at the Government House to monitor the rice distribution reports that efforts by both the GOC7 Division and the Police Commissioner to gain entrance into the Government House for possible rescue of the Governor and other Government officials were repelled by the rampaging police and soldiers.
It would be recalled that thousands of bags of rice earlier reported to have been stolen by Government officials suddenly surfaced at the Government House and were being distributed to the public.
