Election campaigns officially close in Nigeria. Candidates vying for Presidency and seats in the two chambers of the National Assembly are expected to stop every form of campaign. A violation of the order, as stipulated by the Electoral Act, attracts a fine of 500 000 Naira or 12 months imprisonment.
