advising her to start working on herself.

A Twitter user has narrated how a man discovered that his wife is a lesbian after three years of marriage.
According to @thaturhobogirl, the man found out about his wife's
sexuality after "she kept giving excuses on why couldn't get pregnant".
She also revealed that the man will be getting married again in September. The Twitter user wrote;
Married for 3years, no child, madam kept giving excuses to Oga that
she couldn't get pregnant, only for Oga to discover madam is a
lesbian but why waste his time, why put him through all the marital
stress. Well Oga will be getting married again by September. Crazy world
"You will say I am crazy but I am not. This video is to let the world
know that I am done with the marriage. I don't have a lot to prove that
I am done with him but I am done. I'm done. I am leaving with my life
finally. I can't say a lot now. You will hear my story." she said
However, a few days later, she shared another video from a hospital bed disclosing
that she had been diagnosed with “Bipolar disorder”, while debunking
allegations that her marriage ended due to domestic violence.
She later released a video stating that she was still with her husband and that she would not leave her marriage. She then addressed her brother , IK Eke, alongside former actresses Georgina Onuoha and Victoria Inyama for getting involved in her marriage issue.
Now, in a post she shared on Instagram on Monday night, June 27, Chacha apologized to the public for "living a lie."
She further stated that she’s done with her marriage. She wrote;
" NOW ALIVE OR LEAVE AS A CORPSE
Many have died pretending all is well whilst wishing, hoping and praying for a better tomorrow.
I don't want to "die" or go inexplicably "missing".
I sincerely and publicly apologize for living a lie these past
years.True to random speculations, there has been trouble in my
"perceived paradise".
For the 2nd time in 2years, I am here again on social media boldly
declaring that I am done with my marriage. My long overdue/relentless
stance on this is of course no news to Austin Faani, the doctors and my
parents.
If push comes to shove & suddenly i am incommunicado; my lawyers,
the welfare department and the Nigerian police force have my
testimonials in recorded video clips/statements set for public release
on all social media apps and national newspapers.
Ps: old photo.
Chacha and Austin have been married for 9 years and share four children.
A Nigerian lawyer has shared his experience with a couple who
continued to have sex after they had separated and after their divorce
process.
According to @O_ssai, the couple who decided to divorce after 10
years of marriage, are still "having sex and going on dates all through
divorce proceedings and even after finalising the process".
He tweeted;
I don't understand the human race at all..... a couple decided to
divorce after 10yrs of marriage, during their separation they were
having sex, going on date, all through divorce proceedings and even
after finalising, they kept having sex. I no come understand the matter.
Reports of a 'Kelly's sex tape' leak took center stage on the
internet last weekend even though the video did not authoritatively
confirm the identity of the TikTok star.
Reacting to this while sharing another TikTok user's inquiry about
the sex tape, Kelly shared a video of her drinking water and also added
the caption "idgaf what nobody said".
Senate President Ahmad Lawan has finally read the defection letter of
a former Governor of Kano State and Senator representing Kano Central
Senatorial district, Ibrahim Shekarau.
The letter from Shekarau who defected from the All Progressive Party
to the New Nigeria Peoples Party sometime in May, was read during
plenary on Wednesday June 29.
The former Governor had obtained his NNPP membership card at his
Giginyu ward in the presence of the party’s top echelons and politicians
like the presidential candidate of the party, Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso, and a
former member, House of Representatives, Sulieman Sumaila.
In his defection letter, Shekarau cited injustice, marginalisation
and unfairness by Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje as reasons for
his exit from the party.
The statement read;
“I kindly write to formally notify you of my resignation from the All
Progressives Congress, and declaration for the New Nigerian People’s
Party.
“My resignation from the APC was born out of the marginalization of
all major critical stakeholders, and lack of internal democracy, in the
Kano State chapter of the APC, plus the total absence of the principle
of inclusiveness in the affairs of the Party and its Government at all
levels in the State.
“All efforts to resolve the long protracted crisis in the State, in
the last two years, including the involvement of the National
Headquarters of the APC, failed due to the non-cooperation of the Kano
State Governor and party leadership in the State.
“Consequently, after due consultation with like-minds and millions of
our supporters in the State, we decided to withdraw our membership of
the APC and moved to the New Nigeria People’s Party.
“Accept, please, my fraternal goodwill and continued cooperation at all times.”
A Lagos lawyer Malcolm E. Omirhobo, who sparked controversy on June
23 by appearing at the Supreme Court in a lawyer’s wig, gown mixed with
Olokun religious attire, has reverted to a normal barrister’s dress
code.
Omirhobo appeared at the Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday morning in the full wig, gown, bip, black trousers and shoes.
Speaking to journalists who accosted him, Omorhibo, said
“I’m led by the spirit to go normal today. Don’t be surprised if you see me the other way tomorrow…so, today is normal.”
When asked if “the spirit” was in conformity with the ethics of the legal profession and dress code, the lawyer laughed.
“What ethics are you talking about? Are you insulting my religion?
Don’t try it, don’t insult my religion…the constitution according to the
Supreme Court says I should dress according to my religious attire and
you are insulting the Supreme Court, behave yourself. And for those who
have got cause against me, please come to my shrine.”
Recall that on June 23, Omorhibo made news when he attended
proceedings at the Supreme court dressed in his religious apparel of red
wrapper, feathers on his hair with beads tied on his ankles. He said he
was a traditionalist and argued that his decision was based on the
Supreme Court’s judgement that ruled in favour of Muslim students
wearing the hijab in Lagos schools.
The Supreme Court on June 17 in an appeal by Lagos State sanctioned
the wearing of a head cover (hijab) in public schools by female Muslim
students.
On Tuesday, Justice Tijani Ringim of the Federal High Court sitting
in Lagos Monday declined to hear the cases brought before the court by
Omirhobo because of his unusual attire. The judge adjourned his cases
till October 10 and asked Omirhobo to return with an explanation as
to whether the law and legal practice permit him to appear that way in
court.
Chacha Eke, Nollywood actress, has announced the end of her marriage with Austin Faani.
Chacha made this known in a post on her Instagram page.
The movie star said she was moving on with her life, adding that she
does not want to die or go “missing” while living in her paradise.
The actress, who had in 2020 said she was diagnosed with “Bipolar
disorder when reports of her marriage crisis went viral, apologized for
“living a lie these past years.”
”Many have died pretending all is well whilst wishing, hoping and praying for a better tomorrow.
“For the 2nd time in 2years, I am here again on social media boldly

R&B singer, R. Kelly, on Wednesday, was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
This follows his conviction last year on federal racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
Kelly is accused of using his fame to ensnare victims he sexually abused.
Prosecutors had asked the judge to sentence the 55-year-old to more
than 25 years behind bars, while his defense attorneys asked for 10 or
fewer, saying prosecutors’ request was “tantamount to a life sentence.”
Last September, a jury convicted Kelly on nine counts, including one
charge of racketeering and eight counts of violations of the Mann Act, a
sex trafficking law.
Prosecutors from the Eastern District of New York accused Kelly of
using his status as a celebrity and a “network of people at his disposal
to target girls, boys and young women for his own sexual
gratification.”
Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku, has opened up after sealing a one-year loan move with Inter Milan.
The deal was confirmed on Wednesday, after the Belgium striker arrived in Italy to undergo his medicals and sign his contract.
Lukaku revealed he had remained in touch with Inter coach Simone Inzaghi after his exit last summer and was pleased to be back.
When asked what convinced him to return, he said: “The affection of
the fans and my team-mates, but also the opportunity to work with the
coach. I stayed in contact with him all last season. I think the coach
is doing well with the team. I want to contribute and do good for this
club.
“It’s like coming home. I think my family and I had a really good
time in Milan thanks to the people, the fans and my team-mates. From the
first day when I arrived here everyone helped me a lot, I’m really
happy.
“I didn’t even leave my home when I went to England, which shows how
happy I am to be back here. Now I just want to see the guys on the
pitch.”
Shehu Sani, a socio-political commentator, has reacted to the call by
Ayodele Fayose, former Governor of Ekiti State, that the south should
produce the next president in 2023.
Sani urged Fayose to calm down on agitation for rotation of the presidency.
Fayose has said the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, should give room for power rotation.
The PDP chieftain said the party’s constitution provides room for rotational presidency.
He said rotational presidency would ensure equity, justice, and fairness within the party.
Referring to a comment by the All Progressives Congress, APC,
presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, Fayose said: “Awa South lo kan.”
He said: “The PDP Constitution provides for a rotational Presidency.
Section 3(c) provides that the Party shall pursue its aims &
objectives by “adhering to the policy of the rotation & zoning of
Party & Public elective offices in pursuance of the principle of
equity,justice and fairness.”
Reacting to Fayose’s comment, Sani tweeted: “Calm down Big Bro; delegates no dey read constitution, na mint dem de read.”
Meanwhile, Fayose’s comment could be seen as a deviation from PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
While Atiku hails from the North, Tinubu is from the Southern part of the country.
A deadline of August 1, 2022 has been set by the Ondo State Security
Network Agency, often known as “Amotekun Corps,” for some public
institutions to install Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) in their
facilities.
The ultimatum was issued, according to the corps, as part of its
determination to crack down on acts of terrorism and other criminal
activities in the state.
The state commander of Amotekun, Chief Adetunji Adeleye gave this
indication in a press statement issued in Akure, Ondo State capital one
Wednesday.
Adeleye insisted that the purpose of installing the CCTV cameras was
to aid security forces in tracking criminals who have been terrorizing
the state for a while.
He said that by providing real-time videos of criminal activity, the
action was in keeping with international best practices in intelligence
operations.
Over the weekend, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu signed an executive order requiring the installation of CCTV in all public and private organizations.
“Penalties for non-compliance, failure of any of the concerned
operators/owners to comply with this directive will attract sanctions.
“The premises shall be closed down indefinitely and the owners shall be prosecuted.”
Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Yobe State University
branch, has tasked it members not to succumb to any kind threat from the
state government aimed at creating division and distraction among them.
The charge was contained in a five-point resolution raised following
an emergency congress meeting held by union to review the ongoing strike
action and other local issues among which is the imposition of ‘No
work-No pay’ strategy by government in the state.
Dr. Mohammed Saje Jajere, YSU-ASUU branch chairperson, noted that
after extensive deliberations, the congress has unanimously reiterated
its position to continue with the national strike, despite the
no-work-no-pay strategy without notice
“As the struggle continues, the congress has commended its members
for their commitment and steadfastness in the patriotic struggle for the
survival of the university system in the country.
“The congress has called on its members not to succumb to any kind
threat so that it will not create division and distraction among
members”, he said.
To cushion the hardship of the salary stoppage, the Chairperson said a
coping strategy is introduced via ASUU-YSU Multipurpose Cooperative
Society, hence urged members to contact the EXCO of the Cooperative for
more details on how to access various services.
“A people united can never be defeated”, Dr. Jajere stressed.
DAILY POST gathered that, the management of the varsity has announced
resumption of academic activities on the 27th of June, 2022 after the
Directorate of Academic Planning of the institution released an adjusted
academic calendar for 2020/2021 academic session and urged students to
take note for compliance.
Reports also indicated that, some academic staff in the university
who are at managerial level have commenced lectures on the said date and
vowed to continue in the line with the adjusted calendar.
Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, told CNN on Wednesday, that
NATO has been “naive” in its relations with Russia over the years.
Speaking from the NATO summit in Madrid, Sánchez said that NATO is
“sending a clear message to Putin, which is that we are going to support
Ukraine, and we are ready to support Ukraine until the Russian troops
leave the country and they respect the territorial integrity and the
national sovereignty of Ukraine.
“I think it is important to send this message of unity and
determination of the international community, especially NATO allies,
and of course the G7, in order to make possible to return to a scenario
where different countries – especially Russia in this case – respect a
rules-based international order, which is undermined because of this
terrible war in Ukraine,” Sánchez continued.
Earlier US President Joe Biden had announced a significant
strengthening of US force posture in Europe, vowing that NATO will meet
every threat from Russia from the air, see or land.
He said this as he began a two-day NATO summit in Madrid, Spain.
Speaking alongside the NATO secretary general, Biden listed new troop
movements, equipment shipments and military installations meant to
demonstrate the importance of security as Russia’s war in Ukraine grinds
on.
US President, Joe Biden, on Wednesday, thanked his Turkish
counterpart, Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan, for allowing Finland and Sweden to
join NATO.
“I want to particularly thank you for what you did, putting together
the situation with regard to Finland and Sweden, and all the incredible
work you’re going to try to get the grain out of … Ukraine,” Biden told
ErdoÄŸan during the NATO summit in Madrid.
Turkey had initially kicked against the two nations joining NATO but later gave its green light to the move.
“You’re doing a great job,” Biden added.
Also Turkey has been in discussions with President Vladimir Putin’s side about exporting grain from Ukraine.
The Turkish President ErdoÄŸan said he hopes diplomacy will help to get grain out of Ukraine.
“I pray that we’ll be able to re-establish the balance through
diplomacy in order to cultivate positive results, especially with
regards to the grain,” ErdoÄŸan told Biden.
“The conflict between Russia and Ukraine and the negative
developments with regards to taking grain out of Ukrainian ports, as
well as the developments involving oil and natural gas, require all of
us to work together in order to settle the disputes once and for all,”
he added.
“There are countries that are deprived of the grain and we will open
corridors and we will allow them access to the grain that they so need,”
he said.
ErdoÄŸan said it gave him “great pleasure” to meet with Biden “after a long interval.”
Erdogan said that the two leader’s joint efforts mean that “we will be able to go back to our countries with our hands full.
Justice Agatha Okeke of the Federal High Court, Uyo, has convicted and sentenced Scales Olatunji.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) labelled him “a notorious international fraudster”.
The convict bagged 235 years imprisonment for internet fraud and money laundering.
Olatunji pleaded “not guilty” after arraignment in July 2019 on 45-count charges.
One reads: “That you, Scales Olatunji Ishola “M”, Meraiyebu Charles
“M”(at large), Gabriel Adeyemi Olugbenga “M”(at large), Ojomo Oluwatobi
Ayodele “M”(at large) and Adekola Oluwatoyin “M”(at large), between
January 2017 to October 2018 converted N525,172,580”.
The theft of the funds, which formed part of proceeds of unlawful
activities to wit: fraud (Business E-mail Compromise and Identity
Theft), violated Section 18 (a) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition)
Act 2011 (as amended) and punishable under Section 15 (3) of the same
Act.
Also, Olatunji on or about May 15, 2018, sent electronic messages (email) using emailoffice01@aol.com to one Monica Goulmoen of the Charity Association for providing girls and boys in Kobane with a football pitch.
He impersonated Per Ravn Omdal, a former Norwegian Football Association President, demanded and received €64,000.
The offence negates offence contrary to Section 22 (3)(b) of the
Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Act 2015 and punishable under
Section 22 (4) of the same Act.
Delivering judgment, Justice Okeke convicted Olatunji on all the 45- counts preferred against him by the EFCC.
The judge said the evidence of the prosecution witnesses were consistent and the prosecution established his guilt.
The prosecution was also able to establish the offence of cybercrime as it relates to count six to forty five of the charges.
The judge sentenced Olatunji to seven years imprisonment on counts
one to five, and five years imprisonment on counts six to forty-five.
The sentence shall run from the date of arrest. The money in his
account will be sent to the affected Norwegian citizens through the
EFCC.
Olatunji’s properties in Lekki: House No. 6, Road 2 West-end Estate
in Ikota and House No. 10, Donatus Odum Street, Ikate are to be sold and
the proceeds restituted to the victims.
The EFCC commenced a probe after the convict was caught on March 20,
2019 at his Ikota residence. The action followed a petition from the
Oslo Police District in Norway.
Members of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), Federal Medical Centre, FMC Asaba Chapter, today, trooped out in their number to protest an assault meted out on one of their members (name withheld) by family members of a patient.
The doctors were led in the protest by their President and executive members as they carried placards moving from department to department and ward to ward on a peaceful procession around the hospital premises.
According to the ARD President, Dr Asore Oghenevwarhe Emmanuel while briefing newsmen, said the Resident Doctors were not happy over the way and manner patients had continued to assault them.
He stated that a doctor on duty at the Accident and Emergency (A&E) unit was brutally assaulted and almost killed by a patient’s family members.
He hinted that three of the assailants were later arrested and had been in a police cell since Saturday awaiting trial at the court.
According to the ARD President, Dr Asore Oghenevwarhe Emmanuel while briefing newsmen, said the Resident Doctors were not happy over the way and manner patients had continued to assault them.
Speaking further, Dr Asore said that, the doctors earlier withheld their services to express their anger over the unfair treatment their member received from family members of the patient he was caring for and also to ensure the safety of doctors on duty.
“This is a peaceful protest to alert the hospital community and the general public of what the doctors are going through in FMC Asaba. We will resume our duties after the protest, however; we are assuring the management, patients, government and the public that we will not hesitate to down tools if such inhuman treatments of doctors continued to happen.
“While we want to thank God that our colleague who was treated at the police hospital is presently fine and recuperating, we call on the government and good-spirited individuals to help safeguard us and ensure our security during and after every day’s duty. Our colleague was hit on the head and he bled profusely, but thank God he was resuscitated and he is alive today.
It is obvious that there are operational challenges in our hospitals, but that should not be a blame for us doctors to bear. It is a systemic problem and should be directed appropriately. Meanwhile, patients who have issues should seek redress and express their dissatisfaction through the management or any other appropriate quarters,” Dr Asore posited.
Giving an account of what happened, the ARD Secretary, Dr Okolie Kenneth said, the victim who was on call on that fateful day, had at least, three patients with seizure disorders at the same time and the families of the patients needed his attention at the same time.
The Secretary, however, said the doctor is a professional, he decided to attend to the most critical emergency, however, he still assessed the said patient and instituted treatment but would further evaluate him after he was transferred to the examination couch. The family of the patient who wanted the doctor to abandon other patients picked up a quarrel with him.
Okolie said the dispute was immediately settled, but unknown to the doctor that the children of the man had already reached out to their accomplices outside the ward with regards to the quarrel. And while the doctor was done with his assignment and going out within the hospital premises, he was attacked from the back and hit on his head with an unknown object, causing him to lose so much blood.
The Secretary averred that it was the responsibility of the doctor to triage care, but the patients should know that the doctors love them and want to see them get well.
He said, “We love our patients and that is why we go the extra miles to do our work diligently and even sometimes the job of others. There are limitations everywhere, but it’s not enough for patients to continue to attack us. Doctors and health workers are basically in distress; there is brain drain, remuneration is not adequate and now, assault from patients is like adding salt to injury”.
The ARD Vice President, Dr Uwadia Omozele expressed so much anger over the incident, maintaining that her grievance was anchored on the fact that if a male doctor who is usually calm and not talking much could be so attacked, what then happens to a female doctor who sometimes reacts angrily when stressed.
“In actual fact, a patient who is treated wrongly by a doctor or a health worker can channel his or her complaint to the consultant supervising the doctor, the management or even pass through the SERVICOM unit. These are laid down procedures of lodging complaints in case of ill-treatment by medical personnel, other than taking laws into one’s hands”, Omozele reacted.
In a nutshell, the ARD Public Relations Officer, Dr Queensly Ebireri Adigwe affirmed that doctors are bound by the hypocritical oath which ensures that patients under them are carefully and optimally taken care of.
She said, to ensure that this law is kept, doctors could do everything possible to ensure the adequate well-being of their patients, including keeping the oath of confidentiality with their patients.
However, the PRO explained that there could be limitations as a result of a shortage in manpower, adding that it was still not enough reason for patients to unfairly channel their misunderstanding to any doctor, undermining the fact that they work several hours a day to save a life.
Her words, “We are humans too, we have blood flowing in us and we have families that we also retire to at the end of every day’s assignment. We are here to serve and not to be receiving every blame for a failing system. We are doing our best but it should not be to our detriment.
“Our challenge majorly is lack of enough personnel to do the job. It happens that most times doctors are stressed out in an attempt to satisfy more of their patients. We are pleading with our patients to see us as friends and those God is using to save their lives.
“We need more hands. A lot is happening here, our colleagues are leaving the country to seek a better working environment and motivation, but we are not doing that. We want to stay back here and serve our people and nation; but our security, safety and welfare must be guaranteed. We don’t even have any Life Assurance Policy, even though we had continued to push for it. We work in a hazardous environment where our Hazard Allowance is just #5000; whereas discussions had been ongoing to raise it but to no avail. The injuries we receive on this job are much and the Hazard Allowances are not commensurate to the number of hazards we encounter on the job”, the ARD Spokesperson narrated.
In a telephone conversation with the Police Public Relations Officer in Delta State, DSP Edafe Bright, he confirmed knowledge of the case but said he had not been properly briefed on the case by the IPO, so as to know the direction of prosecution.
Senator Ike Ekweremadu has been banned by University of Lincoln,
United Kingdom, after being appointed a visiting professor of Corporate
and International Linkages.
This is coming after the Nigerian lawmaker and his wife, Beatrice
were arrested by British police for allegedly conspiring to harvest the
kidney of one Ukpo Nwamini David who claims to be 15-years-old.
London Mail yesterday quoted the university’s spokesperson as saying
that Ekweremadu’s duties at the institution have been suspended for the
time being.
The University's spokesperson said;
“Visiting professors are often, as is in this case, non-resident at the university, unpaid and advisory.
“We are deeply concerned about the nature of these allegations, but
as this is an active police investigation, we cannot comment further at
this stage.
“Whilst this matter is subject to investigation, this person will not
be undertaking any duties as visiting professor at Lincoln.”
Unless former President Olusegun Obasanjo clarified the comment he
allegedly made that picking Atiku as running mate in 1999 was a mistake,
the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has threatened to break the egg and
tell the whole world and Nigerians who Obasanjo is in 48 hours.
The media was awash on Monday with former President, Olusegun
Obasanjo, quoted to have said that he made a mistake selecting Alhaji
Atiku Abubakar as his Vice President in 1999.
However, Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Walid Jibrin said
that
if the former President fails to clarify the statement in 48 hours,
“the party will be left with no option but to expose Obasanjo and tell
Nigerians who he is in reality.”
Senator Jibrin who spoke to
journalists in Kaduna on Monday, explained that “the PDP has high
regards and respect for former President Obasanjo, but it will be very
disappointing if the statement credited to him and carried in virtually
all the national dailies is true.”
“The
statement which was among others that he ,Obasanjo, made a mistake of
appointing the PDP Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku as his running
mate was unfortunate.”
“In the present circumstance, I wish to
appeal to former President Obasanjo to come out openly to repeat what he
has said,. Whether or not he was misquoted or meant what was credited
to him.”
“Although
he has not debunked what was reported, one can assume that what was
quoted to have been said by him is correct, but if he fails to openly
come out and say which is correct in 48 hours, you will hear the
bombardment and I will have no option but to break the egg and tell the
whole world and Nigerians who is Obasanjo.”
“There is no doubt
Obasanjo may still be angry with Atiku even after helping him to succeed
but perhaps for truncating his third term agenda, in any case, Alhaji
Abubakar Atuku is our presidential candidate and I can tell you for sure
that he will be the President in 2023 In shaa Allah”.
“A high powered reconciliatory committee would be constituted to meet Governor Nyesom Wike and appeal to him.”
”Governor
Wike is a great party man who fought for the party, when the committee
is constituted, in which we will also bring other contestants together,
we will go and meet with Governor Wike and appeal to him even if it
means kneeling down to beg him.”
“It is our belief that in any
contest, there will always be a winner and a loser and we must take
whatever comes our way as the will of God who gives power to whatever he
wishes at the time he wishes.”
“Atiku is a great man, a man of
honour and integrity who will lead Nigeria to greatness, we will bring
our head down infact very low and respect every Nigeria as a party and
that is why we are calling on party members to be united to.enaure that
we win the next election. We must unite among ourselves and avoid
speaking against ourselves in a manner that portrays the party in bad
light.”
“We lost Ekiti election because there was no unity among
party members but we have learnt our lessons, that is why prominent
persons have been appointed to handle the Osun election and I can tell
you that Senator Ademola Adeleke will be the next governor of Osun
State.”
“The PDP is kicking very well and we will rule Nigeria
again and do better. We will do all within our powers to ensure victory
for Atiku and Okowa come 2023 Presidential elections,” he said.
THIS IS WHAT OBJ SAID BEFORE
Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has said that picking a running mate in the 1999 presidential election was a mistake.
He made the comment while speaking in Abeokuta at a leadership and
entrpreneurship mentoring session with selected school students on
Saturday, June 25.
Obasanjo, who won the 1999 and 2003 presidential elections, ran
alongside Atiku Abubakar, who is currently the Presidnetial flagbearer
of PDP in the 2023 presidential election. During his administration,
both fell apart.
Speaking at the leadership programme, Obasanjo said
“I don’t say I don’t make mistakes – I made many of them. But one thing
that has happened to me is that God has never disappointed me. And that
is very important. For instance, one of the mistakes I made was picking a
number two when I was going to become President. But because it is a
genuine mistake, God saved me out of it.”
Former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, and his wife,
Beatrice, have sued the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)
and others over controversy surrounding David Ukpo’s real age.
Others mentioned in the suit are the Comptroller General (C-G),
Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS); Stanbic-IBTC Bank; United Bank of
Africa (UBA) and Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc as 2nd to 5th
respondents respectively.
Recall that Ekweremadu and his wife were, on Thursday, remanded in
the UK police custody, after they were tried before the Uxbridge
Magistrate Court for alleged conspiracy to facilitate the travel of
Ukpo, alleged to be a minor, for organ harvesting.
The couple, however, denied the allegations and the court adjourned till July 7 for hearing.
But in an originating summon marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/984/2022, dated and
filed June 27 by their counsel, Adegboyega Awomolo, SAN, before Justice
Inyang Ekwo of a Federal High Court, Abuja, the Ekweremadus asked the
court for an order directing the NIMC to supply them with the Certified

The council of the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland has hailed the
decision of the Zamfara State Government to approve gun licenses.
The government gave the approval to enable individuals to carry a firearm for defence against terrorists.
There have been countless attacks in Zamfara in recent years, with hundreds killed, kidnapped or wounded.
In a statement on Monday, the Gbonka Aare-Onakakanfo, Gboyega Adejumo urged South-West governors to take a cue from Zamfara.
The Yoruba chiefs warned them to stop tolerating the activities of
terrorists “masquerading as bandits and kidnappers, killing innocent
people at will”.
They noted that Zamfara Governor, Bello Matawalle has “literally opened the eyes of other governors across the country”.
“Taking up arms in self defence is a global practice that should be encouraged, once it is backed by the law.”
“There’s nothing bad if citizens take up arms to defend themselves”, the statement read.
The council however lauded the Lagos government on the ban on commercial (Okada) riders in some parts of the state.
The chiefs urged South-West governors to ensure the South West
Security Stakeholders Group (SSSG) and the Western Nigeria Security
Network (Amotekun) close ties to further secure the region.
Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has slammed David
Nwaminyi, the young man who was taken to the UK by former Deputy Senate
President, Ike Ekweremadu, to donate his Kidney to their ailing daughter
but is now being investigated by the metropolitan police after he
claimed he was 15.
His claim has led to the arrest and the arraignment of the Ekweremadus for ''organ harvesting''.
FFK in the post shared on social media alleged that the evidence so
far put forward shows that David was sent to destroy the Ekweremadus by
making false claims about the couple. The Former minister added that
the "Ekweremadus needed help and instead of giving it to them as
promised, David sought to take advantage of them, milk them dry,
endanger the life of their ailing daughter, send them to jail and
utterly destroy them."
His post reads
I have done my research on this matter.
As I said from the outset, I cannot and will not condemn my friend
and brother Senator Ike Ekweremadu and his beautiful wife unless I see
the evidence of their wrongdoing or they are convicted by a court of
law.
I am now convinced that there is NO evidence and that they will NOT be convicted.
There is also a distinct possibility that the charges may eventually
be dropped or thrown out by the court if the British really want to play
it fairly.
I believe that the London Metropolitan Police have acted hastily and
in error or that they are simply behaving in a typically racist manner
all in an attempt to demonise and stigmatise a Nigerian public figure
and Nigerians generally even though the evidence before them cannot
possibly justify the charge or a conviction.
When I looked into the matter and considered all the facts, including
the young man David Nwaminyi's own testimony which was published on his
Facebook page a few hours ago, I asked myself the following questions.
How can this man be so wicked and cruel and how can he be so ready, willing and able repay good with evil?
The Ekweremadus needed help and instead of giving it to them as
promised he sought to take advantage of them, milk them dry, endanger
the life of their ailing daughter, send them to jail and utterly destroy
them.
Was David not sent to the Ekweremadu family by Lucifer?
Is he not the biblical "son of perdition" who takes pleasure in the destruction and misery of others?
Is he not the quintessential sadist?
Is he not a beast in human flesh?
I know Senator Ekweremadu quite well. He is a deeply courageous man
and his greatest concern and fear right now will not be for his own
safety or future but rather for the welfare of his daughter and the
travails of his dear wife.
That is the measure of man that he is: he always puts his family first.
And when I consider what this monster called David is doing to them I
ask myself, what on earth have they done to deserve all this?
Consider the facts:
A couple have a sick child in a foreign hospital. They needed and
asked for your help. You volunteered to donate one of your kidneys to
their daughter so she could live.
You were well paid for this purpose. You were of age. You were not underage or a minor. You gave your consent.
Your visa was lawfully and legitimately processed and your purpose for going to the U.K. was disclosed in the visa application.
You were not smuggled across international boarders secretly or
illegally, against your will or treated like a slave but rather you were
flown on a plane and you entered the U.K. lawfully and willingly.
Nothing was hidden. Nothing was done in the darkness. There were no hidden, ignoble, macabre or sinister motives.
You were taken abroad for the sole purpose of donating one of your
kidneys and you were given the best treatment by the Ekweremadu's (by
your own admission) and at their hospital of choice.
Instead of doing the right and honorable thing and following through
on your own part of the deal by helping the young lady or instead of
simply saying that you have changed your mind and have elected not to
donate your kidney any longer, satan entered your body, spirit and soul,
you got other ideas, you sought to make more money and you started
plotting and conceiving evil against those who were depending on you.
You resolved to attempt to send the Ekweremadus to jail for no just
cause, far away from home and in a foreign land simply because they were
desperate, they asked you for help, they trusted you and they paid you.
You have destroyed their reputation and you now want their daughter
to die from stress and the inability to get someone else to donate a
kidney to her.
You wish to destroy three lives and an entire family just so you can
gain political asylum, stay in the U.K. and live off the state.
Apart from being motivated by your crass and primitive greed, it is
possible that you are also being used by some unscrupulous elements and
Senator Ekweremadu's political enemies but whichever it is, you alone
will bear the consequences of your wicked and callous actions both in
this life and in the next.
It can never be well with you. You will suffer the consequences of your wickedness and you will be exposed for what you are.
You are not 15 but 21. You consented to this course of action. You
offered to help them but now you are hell- bent on destroying them.
I and millions of other Nigerians condemn and despise you.
As for the Ekweremadus they will come out of this better and stronger and rise even higher.
Their daughter will not die but live to the glory of God and both the
Senator and his wife shall return to Nigeria in victory and in glory.
You on the other hand will fail in your evil quest, you will be eventually deported and you shall return in shame.
And when you do you will face the full wrath of the Nigerian people and legal system. It is only a question of time.
I assure you of this.
When one of our own is falsely accused in a foreign land we ought to
rally around him or her. And Ekweremadu and his wife are our own.
We may not agree with them on everything but they are part and parcel
of us as a people and we must not abandon or condemn them without good
reason.
Permit me to end this contribution with a word for David the Wicked:
You have no idea how much damage you gave done to yourself, your
country and your life with this evil course of action. Surely you shall
reap what you have sown.
You are nothing but a wicked, evil and cruel little man.
The God of Heaven who sees and knows all shall judge you.
