The landlord who allegedly served his female tenant a quit notice due to her manner of dressing, has dragged her on Instagram, accusing her of being nasty and insolent. 

 

Fidelis Chidi Blog reported that Toju Agbajoh had claimed that her landord gave her a quit notice because he has issue with the way she dresses. 

 

 

In his reaction to the LIB report, Oladipo Xeview Awesu claimed that Toju was in the habit of parading around the estate almost naked and beat up the security guard attached to the house. 

 

He further claimed that Toju was almost beaten up by some ladies over alleged boyfriend-snatching. 

 

"Toju Agbajoh so you brought your trash to the media and you aren’t ashamed. You better tell them as it happened and more so all the nasty habits u put up in the estate walking almost naked, beating up the security guard I employed and your insolent attitudes coupled with how some other ladies came to my estate to beat you up due to the fact you snatched one of their boyfriend while they brought inn a squad of policemen men to take you away," he wrote.

A widow, identified as Beatrice Mbayi, married her late husband William Godfrey Mukalama in Funyula Busia County, Kenya.

 

The wedding ceremony was attended by a large crowd.

 

The bride, wearing a white wedding dress, was escorted by women in the community, as she walked down to the corpse housing her husband's body.

 

"We are aware it is not your wish to have a wedding ceremony in this manner, but kindly accept this ring so that you and your wife will remain one," the man presiding over the ceremony told the dead groom.

 

According to reports, Beatric Mbayi is a member of the Jerusalem Church,  headed by Prophetess Mary Akatsa, whom they call Mummy.

 

Members of the church view death as a graduation, hence the belief that even in death  a couple could remain together.

TAKE NOTE........Resident doctors to begin indefinite strike Thursday April 1

 

Members of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) have concluded plans to embark on an indefinite strike on Thursday, April 1.

 

The strike will be coming on the heels of the expiration of the 60-day ultimatum given to the Federal Government on January 25 for the payment of arrears of salaries of house officers across the country and the review of hazard allowance, among other demands. According to members of the association, since the pandemic began in 2020, it has lost 17 doctors, whose families and loved ones are yet to benefit from the Death in Service Insurance Scheme.

 

A statement released in Abuja by the President of NARD, Dr Uyilawa Okhuaihesuyi, after NARD’s extra-ordinary National Executive Council (NEC) meeting on Sunday, March 28, reads in part

 

“The NEC observed that her earlier ultimatum given to the Federal Government during the January 2021 NEC meeting in Owerri will expire by 12 midnight on the 31st of March 2021 with no significant achievement.

The NEC reiterated her full support for the Central Placement of House Officers. Nevertheless, they decried the agony our members have been made to pass through for three months now without salaries despite uninterrupted service delivery to the nation.

This is due to the inefficiency of the Registrar of MDCN in handling the processes of central placement of House Officers as approved by the Federal Executive Council since 2017.

The NEC bemoaned the suffering of some of our members in GIFMIS platform who have not been paid salaries for four months now due to delay in biometric capturing by IPPIS department.

They lamented the inhumane treatment being meted on our members in some State Tertiary Institutions like ABSUTH being owed twenty months salaries, IMSUTH five months salaries and UNIMEDTH three months salaries.

The NEC also observed that despite the three-month window given to the Federal Government to review the hazard allowance of health workers, the hazard allowance has remained a paltry sum of five thousand naira monthly.

The NEC noted that despite the efforts of NARD, the erroneously paid 2020 Medical Residency Training Fund (MRTF) to non-resident Doctors is yet to be addressed. Also, the 2019, some of 2020 and 2021 MRIF are yet to be paid.”

Former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said that he made an error while calling for more youths to be drafted into the Nigerian Army in a bid to adequately tackle the nation’s security challenges. 

While advocating for national employment and giving an inference for a security policy that could stem the tides of insurgency, Tinubu asked the Federal Government to recruit 50 million youths into the Nigerian Army.

Addressing guests on Monday at the 12th colloquium organised in his honour, the Asiwaju stated that the recruitment move will help restore peace within troubled regions and stop miscreants from recruiting young people to do their biddings.

The former Senator has however stated on Tuesday that contrary to comments made at the colloquium in Kano where his 69th birthday was celebrated, his intended recommendation was to have fifty thousand (50,000) youths recruited into various national security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Army.

“Asiwaju seeks the expansion of security personnel by 50,000 for the armed forces, not the N50 million that was mentioned in error. It was an accidental verbal mistake of which we all commit from time to time especially when reciting a series of large numerical figures.

“He did not mean N50 million, which is almost a quarter of our total population.
The crucial matter is that Asiwaju rightly observed that such strong recruitment would serve the twin-purpose of helping to tackle unemployment while at the same time enhancing the security of every Nigerian.

“Please forgive any confusion due to this innocent error. The most vital thing is that he set forth a wise and timely approach that would help us face two of today’s stiffest challenges.

“It is in the spirit that we hope you view and assess his proposal for it seeks to provide a way for more youths to participate in building a greater, safer and more prosperous country,” a communique by Tinubu’s media aide Tunde Rahman, read.

It further noted that the APC stalwart canvassed the urgent need to combine employment and national security policy by the recruitment of 5 million youths in all aspects of nation-building, ranging from infrastructural development to agricultural modernization.

The statement also adds that the APC national leader believes the more job opportunities are presented to youths, the less some of them will be tempted to delve into illegal and dangerous activities.

As part of this overall approach, Tinubu believes that eligible youths should be recruited into the armed forces, police and other security agencies to augment the functional capacity of Nigeria’s security apparatus, thus ensuring the better security and safety of the people.

The 12th Bola Tinubu Colloquium marking Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s birthday was a well-attended event that focused on the important theme of national cohesion during these challenging times.

This was the first time the colloquium was held in the ancient and important city of Kano.

According to the APC Chieftain, the choice of venue was most appropriate given the theme and the underlying objective of highlighting the oneness of the country and the need for unity so that Nigeria may attain its best destiny.

VP Yemi Osinbajo says visas might be needed to travel to Kano if Nigeria splits

 

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has asked those calling for the breakup of Nigeria to have a rethink as they may need visas to travel to places like Kano state.

CHEI........Over 20 people reportedly dead after 'eating meat' allegedly served by a suspected yahoo boy

 

A tragic incident occurred some days ago at one Titi's Concept bar at Alagbole-Akute community of Ogun State, as over 20 persons died after eating fried meat served at the bar. 

 

It is suspected that the deceased had been allegedly been used for ‘ritual purposes’ by an unidentified cyber fraudster who served them the meat. 

 

A source told Sahara Reporters that the bar owner's apprentice said the suspected internet fraudster drove into the bar on Thursday March 18 and ordered drinks for everyone, which he repeated the following day Friday March 19. 

 

On Saturday 20th of March, the alleged fraudster-cum-ritualist drove into the bar and also paid for bottles of beer before announcing that it was his birthday. He reportedly went to his car where he got a cooler of fried meat and asked everyone to have a bite while sipping their drinks.

 

The source said; 

 

“It was at this point that my apprentice noticed his phone was missing. He wanted to capture the scene, make a video or take pictures and post but he couldn't find his phone so he was more interested in getting the phone than the meat they were sharing. The bar attendants already gave him a bottle of beer paid for by the Yahoo boy and he drank from it before he left to look for his phone. Nothing happened to him, I think whatever caused the death should be the meat because he brought it out from the booth of his car, no one knows where he got it from.

 “The story is very true. I think it is a ritual not food poisoning. The Yahoo boy has been coming to the bar; that place is a place where they smoke, drink, anyone can declare that he will foot others' bills so it was not new when the guy came the first day to say he would pay for all the drinks. Guys there were happy; the second day, the same thing and the third day, he said it was his birthday that he brought some fried meat in his car so he started distributing to them, telling them to use it to step down (take it along with) the chilled beer he bought for them. They were so happy and started eating.

“From what I heard, at midnight, they would wake up and say, we ate last at City Concept, start vomiting blood and die. Like 25 of them are dead now. 10 at Keredolu, another 10 at Jolasco close to Lambe and another 5 at Alagbole. I can't tell if the figure is up to 50 because some people who were not accustomed to going to the bar might have been there on that day to take a piece and return to their houses. None of them died at the bar, no one lodged in there, it is not a hotel.

“The Yahoo boy did not die; he simply ran away. He has been declared wanted. His car is even parked at Ajuwon there, some people wanted to burn his car but they were advised against doing such so that the culprit would be traced. 

“The police are aware of the incident, they even wanted to go and lock up the hotel but when the owner heard of it, she called them and asked why because she did not produce the beer in her hotel and moreover, the beer was opened for each person at their own request. It was not like it was opened behind them and that was not the first nor second time they had come to the bar to drink."

 

Another source told the publication that a 19-year-old boy who was at the scene of the incident also vomited blood before he died.  The source said; 

 

“He was at the bar; he ate and drank beer too. He vomited blood and died; he has now been buried. His mother and my mother are friends.”

Medical trip: President Buhari should transfer power to Osinbajo - Dino Melaye

 

Senator Dino Melaye has called on President Buhari to transfer power to his Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo as he travels to London for a medical check-up on Tuesday March 30.

 

The Presidency had released a statement on Monday night, March 29, informing Nigerians that the President would be travelling to London, United Kingdom for medical check-up and would be back in the second week of April.

 

Reacting to the news, Melaye in a tweet posted on his handle, asked the President to transfer power to the Vice President through a letter to the National Assembly. He urged that the president should do this before leaving the country today.

The Enugu state Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu, psc, has ordered the State CID to carry out a full-scale investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of a young lady identified as Orji Chiamaka Precious Gold, aged 20, whose lifeless body was found in the gutter, along Presidential Road, Independence Layout, Enugu.

 

A statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, states that her body was evacuated to the hospital, following information received in the early hours of Monday, March 29 by Police Operatives attached to New Haven Police Division. Ndukwe said the doctors on duty confirmed her dead while the corpse was deposited in the mortuary for preservation and autopsy. 

 

The police spokesperson added that two (2) persons have been arrested and are being investigated to ascertain their culpability or otherwise, in the death of the young lady.

Agyasuo burgled a Catholic Church building in Techimantia, Tano South, Ghana.

 

With a chisel and hammer, he created a hole inside the ground floor of the locked storey building.

 

Residents saw him making the hole but chose to wait and watch.

 

After making the hole, he climbed in and stole some money from the church. He is also said to have stolen mobile devices.

 

Unfortunately for him, he couldn't sneak back out and residents alerted the caretaker of the building after he had been there for a while.

 

The caretaker opened the door and found the suspect trapped inside the hole.

 

As he begged to be let out, residents collected the offering money he stole first, while quizzing him.

 

He was also reportedly caught with a bag containing packed phones, computer and accessories he had gathered from the church.

Tinubu made the appeal at the 12th colloquium to celebrate his 69th birthday in Kano State, on Monday March 29. 

 

The former Governor who stressed that Nigeria is under-policed, said those recruited will eat cassava, corn and yam which are grown in the country. 

 

He said; 

 

“We are under-policed and we are competing with armed robbers and bandits to recruit from the youths who are unemployed —33 per cent unemployed?

“Recruit 50 million youths into the army, what they will eat —cassava, corn, yam, we grow here.

“Don’t talk about illiteracy, anybody who can hold a gun, who can handle a gun, who can cock and shoot is technically competent to repair a tractor in the farm.”

President Buhari is currently in a meeting with the service chiefs at the statehouse Abuja. The meeting comes before he travels to the UK for his medical trip on Tuesday March 30.
