"Soji Alabi is the only father I know" Tope Alabi?s daughter reacts to paternity scandal after another man claimed he

Ayomikun, daughter of popular gospel singer, Tope Alabi, has said her mother's husband, Soji Alabi is the only father she knows.

This comes after a man named Mayegun Olaoye went online to claim he's the father of Tope Alabi's daughter.

He began claiming the girl in 2018 on Instagram. He has shared multiple posts, claiming Ayomikun is his daughter and comparing her face to his to show the resemblance. He has also been tagging Tope Alabi to the posts.

Mayegun Olaoye also alleged that Tope Alabi had blocked every avenue for him to know his biological daughter in the past 22 years.

Reacting during an interview with Punch, Ayomikun stated that she was not surprised about the development as her mother had since informed her about the man who claimed to be her father.

Ayomikun, however, stressed that the only father that she has is Soji Alabi, who has been married to her mother for over two decades.

She said: "I will always know that my father is Soji Alabi. I do not know any other person and I have never met any other man. I cannot blatantly deny him because I have heard about him but I have never had anything to do with this man."

She added: "My mother never blocked the avenues for us to see. My mother even tried for me to have a relationship with him. I remember when I was about 15 years old, she used to tell me about him but he never tried to reach out to me.

"I am very grateful to God for the kind of mother and father that I have. After God, my parents are next in my life," Ayomikun said.

Ayomikun continued, "I cannot bear his surname. How can I bear the surname of someone that I have never met? There is no sense in that. I do not even know his surname. How can I bear the name of someone I have never met?

"God knows my real father and everyone knows who my real father is. I did not know this man when I was in crèche, daycare, primary, secondary or during my university days. I graduated and did not get a congratulatory message; absolutely nothing from him.

"So, there is no much story to tell. It is just a story about an irresponsible father and he is trying to cut every relationship he could ever build with his so-called daughter. I genuinely do not know why he is coming out after 22 years."

Ayomikun stated that the only way she can grant Olaoye audience is if they meet in court and there is a judgment to that effect.

She said, "If the man wants to reach out to me to patch things up, it will be in court. I do not think that I want to patch things up with him but I know that I will definitely meet him in court if he ever wants to talk. It cannot be a civil matter because he did not make it a civil matter when he went to the social media to talk."

Ayomikun says Olaoye's public display has not affected her family in any way.

"I have spoken to my mother about it and we are all fine. It was not something that shocked us. He is not blackmailing the family but he is an example of a very terrible father," Ayomikun said.

We informed military before the attack but nothing was done, Zabarmari residents say following massacre of scores of rice farmers

We informed military before the attack but nothing was done, Zabarmari residents say following massacre of scores of rice farmers

Residents of Zabarmari in Jere Local Government Area of Borno State have claimed that the killing of rice farmers in the community would have been avoided if the Nigerian military had taken action after being informed of the impending attack.

According to Daily Trust, one of the surviving villagers, who gave his name as Abubakar Salihu, said they foresaw danger after they arrested one of the Boko Haram terrorists and handed him to the security operatives.

He said: "We informed military beforehand that our members sighted Boko Haram in large numbers but nothing was done about it."

"It was a sad day for us in Zabarmari; it could have been averted but the military failed to act on the information we gave them," he added.

Another rice farmer, Mohammed Alhaji, told the publication that the victims were busy harvesting rice when the insurgents summoned and assembled them.

"It was a deliberate act to ensure that we do not harvest our farm produce. We need the federal government to assist us and secure our lives," he said.

The Zabarmari attack occurred on Saturday, November 28, as Boko Haram terrorists rounded up farmers on rice fields and slit their throats or beheaded them.

A total of 43 bodies were recovered in one location after the attack. Bodies recovered from other locations have raised the death toll to 110.

The military has not yet responded to the villagers’ claims. However, Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, has blamed the farmers' deaths on their failure to get military clearance before working on the field.

Garba Shehu said this while speaking to the BBC.

"The truth has to be said. Was there any military clearance from the military who are in total control of the area? Did anybody ask to resume activity?" Shehu said while speaking to BBC 'Newsday'.

Garba Shehu asks whether farmers killed by Boko Haram got military clearance before resuming farming

Presidential spokesman Garba Shehu reacted to the murder of scores of farmers in Zabarmari village by asking whether the victims got military clearance before resuming farming.

Mr. Shehu said this while speaking to BBC 'Newsday' on Sunday, November 29, hours after the gruesome killings.

Garba Shehu said the government was sad about the tragic incident, but added that the "people need to understand what it is like in the Lake Chad Basin area."

He insisted that much of the area has been liberated from Boko Haram terrorists but said there are still some areas that have not been cleared for the return of villagers who have been displaced.

He continued: "The truth has to be said. Was there any military clearance from the military who are in total control of the area?

"Did anybody ask to resume activity?"

Mr. Shehu said he had been briefed by military authorities that the villagers did not seek military advice before exposing themselves to "a window that the terrorists have exploited."

He added: "So ideally, all of these places ought to probably be allowed to pass through proper military clearance before resettlement or even farmers resuming activities on those fields."

His statement comes only hours after at least 43 rice farmers were slaughtered by Boko Haram terrorists while they were working on their farms.

"Your Excellency, as you have seen here, 43 corpses were buried, but others have not been retrieved from the scene of the incident. Nobody can tell you the exact number of people killed. Some of the victims are still missing" the resident said.

Addressing the bereaved community, Zulum expressed his condolence over the gruesome killing of the farmers.

"First of all, accept my deepest sympathy over this carnage, once again, that affects all of us and every human with conscience. I am told some persons are still missing. We have been discussing with the military since yesterday, Insha Allah the remaining people will be traced soon." he said.

Zabarmari Massacre: Photos from the funeral of 43 rice farmers slaughtered by Boko Haram terrorists in BornoThe Governor while speaking to journalists said, "It is disheartening that more than 40 citizens were slaughtered while they were working in their farmlands. Our people are in very difficult situations, they are in two different extreme conditions, in one side they stay at home they may be killed by hunger and starvation, on the other, they go out to their farmlands and risk getting killed by the insurgents,"

"This is very sad. We are still appealing to the Federal Government to ensure recruitment of more our youths in the CJTF and hunters into the Nigerian military and the Civil Defence so that they can form part of the agro rangers that will protect farmers. We need many boots to protect farmlands and our youths understand the terrain. We will not lose hope because we have to remain optimistic about ending the insurgency" he added.

Bodmas Prince Kemepadei from Bayelsa State, who publicly denounced his Christianity and accepted the Egbesu worship, said people can call him evil names but God is the final judge of all our actions.

Recall that the Niger Delta University graduate took to Facebook on Tuesday, November 24, to announce the denounciation and reaffirm his obeisance to Egbesu deity, saying that he has realized that that he was duped by foreign myths.

Taking to Facebook on Saturday night, Kemepadei said Christians have continued to allow religious entrepreneurs to mislead them. His post below:

John 4:21-24

Jesus said, the time has come when you don't have to worship God in the mountains nor the synagogue for God is a Spirit: and they that worship God must worship in spirit and in truth.

If you like continue to allow religious entrepreneurs to mislead you and enrich themselves, we will all be judged according to our deeds and not according to our beliefs.

God does not live in religious homes, your everyday prayer and fasting without application of good conduct is self deceit.

Married Nigerian man arrested in India for duping women on matrimonial sites with promises of marriage

A 25-year-old Nigerian has been arrested in India for allegedly duping women after befriending them on matrimonial sites, police said on Sunday, November 29.

The accused identified as Bright was arrested from Delhi by operatives of Whitefield CEN police divison in Bengaluru on November 23 following a complaint filed by a 34-year-old woman.

Investigation revealed that Bright and his associates created several fake profiles on matrimonial websites, befriended women, cheated them of thousands of rupees under the pretext of giving them gifts or citing emergencies.

According to Whitefield CEN police, the accused who lives in Delhi with his wife, Devain met the woman on a matrimonial portal where he claimed to be Swain Rajkishore, a civil contractor and engineer.

He expressed interest in marrying Vidhushee, who signed up with the website in September and had no clue she would fall prey to an online scam.

Rajkishore told Vidhushee he had to visit Malaysia for a project. He sought financial help from her, claiming his money was stuck in a Scotland bank due to security reasons. Believing him, she transferred around Rs 25 lakh to him via multiple transactions between October 13 and October 16.

Later, he stopped replying to her messages and attending her calls. Realising she had been duped, Vidhushee approached police. A police team from Bengaluru visited Delhi and raided Brieght’s flat. Subsequently, they found it was a bigger scam.

"It was a six-member gang which was operating by creating fake accounts on matrimonial websites and siphoning off money from victims. Brieght’s wife Devain had also created an account to cheat men. When we went to nab Brieght, we found all the other gang members had escaped.”said Guruprasad G, inspector at Whitefield CEN police station.

"Bright had at least 38 bank accounts in India and 28 abroad where the money were diverted. We suspect the gang members siphoned off Rs 10 crore from people they met on matrimonial sites," Guruprasad added.

“On examining their laptops, we came across many photos of men and women on such websites,” he said.

Police have taken Bright into custody for five days. He and his associates didn’t have valid visas and passports.

Cops have seized four laptops and 10 mobile phones from Brieght and Rs 8.5 lakh from various bank accounts.
