Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, today took to his Instagram page to shower praises on his wife, Regina.

 

In the post, FFK praised Regina for loving him unconditionally and not objecting when he took a second wife. He also celebrated her for accepting and welcoming the other children he had with his new wife.

 

His post comes amidst reports of his marital crisis with the mother of his sons and ex-beauty queen, Precious Chikwendu.

Time is not going, it is you that is going - Actor Adedimeji Lateef writes

 

Nollywood Actor, Adedimeji Lateef has shared an Instagram post on the importance of time. 

 

The actor in his Instagram post noted that while people think 'time is going', they are actually the one going because they are finite and time is not.  

 

Lateef also advised his followers to make better use of their time, while also pointing out that the worst thing to do with time 'is comparing yourself to others'. 

 

He wrote; 

 

It is a mistake to think time is going. Time is not going. Time is here until the world ends. It is you that is going. You don’t waste time. Time is infinite. You waste yourself. You are finite. It is you that grow old, time doesn’t. So make better use of it. And one of the worst things to do with time is comparing yourself to others. A cow eats grass and gets fat but if dog eats grass, it will die. Never compare yourself with others. Run your race. What works for one person may not work for you.

Focus on the gifts and talents God gave you and don’t be envious of the blessings He gave others. If a rose smells better than tomatoes, It doesn't mean the rose can make a better stew. Burna Boy has fired back at Omoyele Sowore after being invited to a #RevolutionNow protest scheduled to hold on October 1. 

 

The media personality and former Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) sent out the invitation via a tweet in  which he stated how Burna Boy has been described as a revolutionary musician and also compared to late music legend, Fela Kuti. 

 

Sowore tweeted;

 

Hello @burnaboy, everywhere I turn people describe you as a revolutionary musician, the foreign media even celebrate you compare you to Fela Kuti, but I am yet to see you lead anyone to a police station carrying a coffin for head of state! Join #Oct1stProtest #RevolutionNow

 

 

Burna Boy however declined the invitation by insisting that he is not Fela Kuti. He also recalled how people stayed away from his mother's family for associating with Fela.

Reacting to Burna Boy's insistence on not being Fela, Sowore insinuated that the singer portrays Fela's character when it is artistically convenient. The media personality also shared old tweets in which Burna Boy claimed Fela lives in him and also wore panties on stage like the late music legend.

Nigerian music star, Davido has reiterated that he doesn't depend on anyone for anything. 

 

Speaking in an interview with Ebuka on Bounce Radio, the singer insisted that he is doing music because he loves the craft. He added that he will become a billionaire in dollars if he quits music and start working in his father's company.

Brazilian UFC star, Paulo Costa has slammed his Nigerian rival Israel Adesanya for his 'disgusting' celebration after winning their fight. 

 

The Nigerian middleweight undefeated champion, 31, defeated Costa with a second-round TKO win to retain his UFC middleweight title in Abu Dhabi over the weekend.

 

When the referee moving was in to end the bout, Adesanya mocked his opponent by pretending to have sex with Costa before moving away to celebrate the victory.

 

 

The humiliating moment didn't go down well for Costa's camp and the fighter has slammed Adesanya for his 'disgusting action' and wants to have a rematch. 

 

"I come here to talk about the actions that the human trash did after our fight," Costa said in an Instagram video.

 

"I didn't see when I was there [in] the cage but I saw now and I disapprove 100 per cent. To me, this is [personal] now.

 

"Nobody will stop me. Nobody can stop me."

 

"I just saw his unacceptable and disrespectful attitude and he will have to pay for that in the Octagon next time. He will have to pay every penny in our next fight," Costa said in another video.

 

"[UFC president] Dana White, make this fight happen. I didn't see what he did in the Octagon until now. It's a matter of honour now. Dana White, make it happen. I will be 100 percent this time, no excuses, to rip this disrespectful clown's head off."

 

Costa's manager Wallid Ismail confirmed that he is even considering moving into the light heavyweight division to get a rematch.

 

"Adesanya is his focus," Ismail said.

 

"He was thinking about moving up in weight but won't anymore because he wants to get Adesanya, and the UFC owes him that. He will stay [at 185 pounds] only to get Adesanya because he's really upset, outraged with Adesanya's post-fight attitude.

 

"He's a bum. Warriors fight and when it's over, it's over. But doing that after the fight? He's a bum, and he can expect a nightmare coming at him."

 

"You can't do that," Ismail told MMA Fighting.

Two unknown men in military uniform reportedly unleashed a vicious attack on a commercial motorcyclist in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State.

 

According to a report posted by an eyewitness on Facebook on Tuesday, September 29, the incident happened last Friday.

 

It was gathered that the Okada rider picked the uniformed men at Leru junction, Umuchieze, in Abia State and they directed him to drop them at Nneato.

 

However, when they got to somewhere near Spiritan University, Nneochi, they stopped him and forced him to the bush.

 

There, they tied him up and hacked him with unknown objects. They left after believing he was dead and made away with his motorcycle.

 

The man regained some strength, untied himself and crawled to the roadside where he was found and rescued by passersby.

Music legend, Onyeka Onwenu has revealed that she will be returning to the South-East if Nigeria disintegrates. 

 

Speaking at a virtual pre-book launch briefing ahead of the release of her memoir ‘My Father’s Daughter’ on October 1, the music urged people from the South-East to develop the region while pointing out that they've be marginalized for a long time. 

 

Onwenu said; 

 

“It doesn’t take away whatever you are doing in Lagos, Abuja, or Port Harcourt. You are free to live and do business wherever you are but remember back home, we are being marginalised for a long time. And our people have always done things for themselves.

“We built the Imo Airport. I was part of the process. It remains the only airport in the country that was built by the citizens and handed over to the Federal Government.

“My father went to school abroad, people in his home town collected money and supported him. That’s how we do things, we are communal people. So, I’m not afraid to go back home.

“If that happens (referring to Nigeria breaking up), I will go back to the South-East because I want to go back home. And even if we don’t split, I want to do so much there.”

 

Referencing her marriage to a Yoruba Muslim, the music icon urged Nigerians to let go of tribalism and focus on the positive values inherent in the different ethnic groups in the country. 

 

Onwenu added; 

 

“We are blessed with the richness of our culture and everyone should see themselves as one and not let divisions break the country."

The Lagos state police command has issued a ban on rallies and protests in the state ahead of the October 1 Independence Day celebration. 

 

Reading the riot act during a security meeting with the Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Heads of Department at the conference room of the Lagos State Police Headquarters in GRA, Ikeja on Wednesday September 30, Commissioner of Police Hakeem Odumosu instructed officers and men of the command to disallow any unlawful societies under whatever disguise, from staging rallies or protests within the state on Thursday, 1st October 2020.

 

Odumosu also appealed to the general public to be law-abiding, desist from violence, and any act that is capable of disrupting the sovereignty of Nigeria as anyone arrested for such actions will be prosecuted.

Nigerians on Twitter are currently reacting to the decision of the presidency to lock the comment section of the Tweet above on the President's official handle.

 

The president had tweeted about the commissioning of the standard gauge railway line from Itakpe to Warri via the steel town complex of Ajaokuta. However, the comment section of the tweets was locked, making it impossible for Nigerians to share their thoughts on the commissioning.

 

While some kicked against the decision to lock the comment section, others pointed out that the presidency opted for the decision to lock the comment section because Nigerians have in recent times spammed the comment section of any of President Buhari's tweets with ''I follow back'', ''Please Follow back''.

Coronavirus ruined I and Chioma's wedding plans-Davido (video)

 

Singer, Davido, says the Coronavirus pandemic ruined his wedding plans with Chioma Rowland, his fiancee, and the mother of his son, Ifeanyi.

 

 

Davido stated this in an interview with Ebuka on Bounce Radio live. The couple got engaged in September last year and many believed they would have tied the knot by now.

 

However, Davido says their wedding was billed to hold  July 2020 but the Coronavirus pandemic prevented it from happening.

 

“Honestly, Corona messed plans up because it was meant to be in July. I have decided probably sometime next year. For now, I want her to work on her business while I work on my album and the kids. I want everything to balance first'' he said

 

Speaking on how long himself and Chioma have known each other, the singer said

“I have known Chioma for about seven years. We have been dating for about five years. Lati introduced me to Chioma. We went to the same school, Babcock University. We started as friends but I got so used to her and she got so used to me as well. She is a great cook as well.”

 

The singer who has two daughters, Imade and Hailey from his babymamas, Sophia and Amanda, said although it has not been easy making the women in his life happy but that as a man, he has found a way of maintaining balance in his home as he treats everyone equally.

“At the end of the day, all my kids are equal. Once I have a kid, everybody is equal. Before I had kids, I was obviously friends with their mothers. Nothing is perfect. I am not going to say that we do not argue or we do not fight, it happens, but the love that we all have for our kids comes first.

“Imade and her sister talk almost every week. Their mothers ensure that they speak almost every week. Some days ago, Imade was with Ifeanyi in their grandfather’s house. It is not easy, but at the end of the day, as a man, you have to make everybody happy. You just have to be responsible and know what you have to do. Before I engage with anybody I would have known that you are reasonable whether we planned for it or not,” he said.

 

The singer also spoke about his late mum whom he disclosed died of Cardiac arrest.

 ''I was about 10 to 11 years old when she died. She died on my father’s birthday. Honestly, it was just cardiac arrest. Even if it was going to happen, I would not have known because I was about 10 or 11 years old. She was not really sick. She used to get sick once in a while but it was nothing serious.

I often say that I see my mother in Chioma. I did not grow up with my mother. I can hardly remember what happened when I was that young.”

A 59-year-old Nigerian woman simply identified as Maureen is currently writhing in pain after her brother allegedly attacked her over their father's property in Enugu state.

 

Human rights group, Women's Aid Collective WACOL, who shared the story online, said the victim said their late father left the said property in her custody and made her promise to take care of the property and not transfer ownership to Mr Francis Egbujie. The victim however alleged that her brother has over time pestered her over the said property and demanded that she hand it over to him.

 

Posting a photo of the battered head of the victim, the group wrote

BROTHER ATTEMPTS TO KILL ELDER SISTER OVER FAMILY PROPERTY!!! On the 30th day of September 2020, WACOL legal clinic received a complaint from a 59 years old woman Mrs M, that her brother Mr Francis Egbujie from Ifu Ezike Udi, attempted to kill her by beating her with a stick and breaking her head over a family property.

She is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed medical facility. She noted that together with her younger sisters they immediately made a report to the Trans Ekulu police station but rather than arrest the perpetrator Mr Francis Egbujie, the police detained her sisters and even threatened to arrest her.

She told WACOL that the property in question was handed over to her by their late father, who made her promise to take care of the property and not transfer ownership to Mr Francis Egbujie.

She also told WACOL that it is the proceed from the property that she uses to take care of their late elder brother's children. Mrs M wants WACOL to assist her in getting justice and ensure that Mr Francis Egbujie faces the full wrath of the law for his devious acts against her.

WACOL has sent a petition to the Honourable Commissioner of Police, Enugu state requesting for a transfer of the case from the Trans Ekulu police station to the state CID for proper investigation.

WACOL will also provide palliative and support her treatment.''

 

Police declare former Minister, Kenneth Gbagi declared wanted over hotel staff who were assaulted and stripped naked

 

Former Minister of State for Education, Kenneth Gbagi has been declared wanted by the police over his hotel staff who were allegedly assaulted and stripped naked over a missing money. 

 

In a statement released by the Delta state police spokesperson DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, Gbagi was accused of refusing to honor several police invitations.

 

The statement read; 

 

“Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi was invited by the Commissioner of Police through the Area Commander Warri and DPO Ebrumede Division on September 25th, 2020 for questioning concerning the alleged dehumanising manner in which he ordered some of his staff be stripped naked and physically assaulted.

“Kenneth Gbagi personally and severally called and gave the excuse that he has a burial ceremony of his elder sister on Friday 25/9/2020 in which he is a key player, and asked for time to finish with the ceremony on Sunday, thereafter will report at the State Headquarters on Monday, September 28, 2020. These requests were granted on humanitarian ground.

“On Monday, September, 28th2020, Kenneth Gbagi called the Commissioner of Police to say that he has a court case to attend to, promising to report at the Police Headquarters in Asaba by 3:00pm; again he was equally obliged.

“On the same date, the Commissioner of Police had to call him at about 5:00pm before the same Kenneth Gbagi said he was on his way to the State HQ Asaba.

“Sadly and unfortunately, Kenneth Gbagi still failed to report instead he went into the public space to disparage, blackmail and maligned the person of the Commissioner of Police and the Nigeria Police Force, Delta State Command for insisting on investigating him.

“Having failed to honour his promises, Delta state police command is left with no option than to declare Kenneth Gbagi wanted.

“Therefore members of the public with useful information as to his whereabouts are advised to go to the nearest Police Station to report for his immediate arrest and handing him over to the Command for thorough investigation/prosecution."

Former masseur explains why he will never let his wife go to a spa alone

 

A former masseur has said he will never allow his wife to go to a spa alone because of his experience while working in one.

 

Mr Alan took to Twitter to state that from massaging Nigerian women while working in a spa in his final year, he realized that "any woman can cheat on you when the mood is right."

John Ugbe, the Managing Director of MultiChoice Nigeria, parent production company of the Big Brother Naija franchise, disclosed that the just-concluded Big Brother Naija season recorded the highest votes ever in the history of the show.

 

He made the revelation today, September 30, at a media briefing and presentation of prize money to Laycon, who won the Lockdown edition of the show.

 

According to Ugbe, the cost of producing the show was N3.5bn. He added that the show recorded 900 million votes from the different voting platforms.

IN OBIARUKU, Ritualists murder girl on her way to church in Delta and remove her vital organs

 

A young lady identified as Miss Anwuli Joy Agu was murdered on her way to church on Sunday in Delta state.

 

The body of the victim was discovered on a school premises in Umusume community in Obiaruku, Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State, with some vital organs of the lady missing and her hair shaved off on Sunday, September 27.

 

It is suspected that she was murdered and dumped in Esume-uku Primary School, Obiaruku, by ritualists.

 

Upon discovery, the body was evacuated by policemen attached to Obiaruku division.

 

The Commissioner of Police, Hafiz Mohammed, confirmed the incident, adding that the police have been combing the area since Sunday to arrest the hoodlums.

 

 

According to one of the deceased’s relations, Anwuli was murdered on her way to Sunday Mass.

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has denied reports that he is set to take another wife.

 

There have been speculations that he is set to take Halima, the lady he is pictured above with, as a wife. The rumor became strong following the crash of his marriage to former beauty queen, Precious Chikwendu.

 

In a post shared on social media on Monday afternoon, September 28, FFK said the reports of him remarrying is false. He said that Halima, like many others, has been a source of comfort to him in ''this period.'' His post reads

''There have been wild speculations in the social media that I am planning to get married again. This is false.

Miss Halima Yusuf, who has been cited as my fiancee, is simply a dear friend and confidante who I have the utmost respect for and who I hold in high esteem.

She, together with others, has been a source of immense comfort for me and mine at this time and for this I am eternally grateful to her.

I appeal to all those peddling the falsehood that we are about to get married to please desist from doing so.''
