Members of National Nurses United protested outside the White House on Tuesday against the adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) as they fight the coronavirus.
The United states of America’s largest nurses union has urged the president of the United states to fund mass production of necessary gear in the next stimulus package and to utilize the Defense Production Act to ramp up PPE manufacturing.
In the New York, Nurses also filed three lawsuits that claims “grossly inadequate and negligent protections.”
Medical workers combating the coronavirus poandemic in the United states, have for weeks been faced with a lack of personal protective equipment which prompted the largest nurses union in the United States to protest outside the White House on Tuesday.
National Nurses United is pushing for President Donald Trump to invoke the Defense Production Act and ramp up mass production of PPE, including masks, gloves, glasses, face shields, and gowns, according to a press release.
