Today February 19th makes it exactly one year since Leah Sharibu, was abducted from her school alongside 109 of her classmates in Dapchi, Yobe state by Boko Haram members.

While most of the girls were released, Sharibu was denied freedom after refusing to renounce her Christian faith for Islam. She has been in the custody of the terror group despite repeated pledges by the Federal government to ensure her release.
In commemoration of her one year in captivity, Reno Omokri led a group of men and women to stage a protest in front of the Nigerian High Commission in London. At the rally, he called for  on the Federal government to expedite action towards the safe return of Leah and all others still in Boko Haram captivity. He also placed a call to Leah's mum, Rubeccah Sharibu.
