Atiku and Obasanjo
Nigerians have taken to social media to react following Obasanjo's endorsement of Atiku for president.
Following today's endorsement of Atiku Abubakar by former
President, Olusegun Obasanjo who pledged to support his presidential
ambition, Nigerians have reacted on social media.
Obasanjo is currently in a meeting with Atiku, the People’s
Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate and others in Abeokuta,
the Ogun state capital.
In his opening remarks, Obasanjo declared that Atiku will defeat
the incumbent President, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives
Congress (APC) in 2019.
In attendance at the meeting was the outspoken clerics, Bishop David Oyedepo, Bishop Mattew Kukah and Sheikh Ahmed Gumi.
Also at the meeting were leader of the apex Yoruba group, Pa Ayo
Adebanjo, former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, PDP National
Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, ex PDP deputy national chairman, Bode
George, Senator Murray Ben-Bruce, ex Cross River Governor, Liyel Imoke,
ex-Minister Osita Chidoka, among many others.
However, some Nigerians on Twitter have shared divergent opinions
concerning Obasanjo’s endorsement of Atiku as compiled by DailyPost:
See the tweets below:
@Icc6duke “Nigerians are united in demanding for the sack of
Buhari, even Obj is willing to settle with Atiku to ensure this
happens.”
@Modebolanle “Still on the matter. I want to know how APC and
Buhari will rig these people.Buhari and his surrogates may not sleep
today.Atiku is a goal.”
@Sly_bundle “Dear Children of Recession, stop fighting it, the
truth stares you in the face. Stop acting stubborn. Atiku is your next
President.”
@Obinext “It will be too late when Buhari realizes what has hit him. The game is just starting.”
@Nomshimi, “If anything is indicative of these pictures is the fact
that Buhari is going back to the dingy hole he crawled out of come
2019. Fully Atikulated.”
Let’s wait we’ll soon hear a vision from Oyedepo saying “God tell
him” to tell us he’s seeing “A” as our next president and Nigeria will
be great next year so dah we all can vote.”
@Jayligal “Once Baba Obasanjo is involved, say no more – Atiku is winning.”
@gilo_nig “Even in that same Abeokuta Buhari will defeat Atiku.”
@Ibrahim_dalibi, “Do you have any doubt again that Dr Gummi Oyedepo
Kukah re doing it for the Dollars? Am not moved with D.r Gummi from
Day1 cos his body language is all about who can spray the money to the
end of the party.”
Nigerians have taken to social media to react over the presence of David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, at the residence of former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, earlier today.

Is Winners Chapel about to produce the running mate to Atiku? This Oyedepo in Obasanjo’s residence at a time Atiku is visiting… hmmm… We watch#NigeriaDecides2019Today Baba OBJ, Bishop David Oyedepo, Baba Ayo Adebanjo, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, Sheik Abubakar Gumi and a host of other leaders endorsed@Atiku for the Presidency and rejected@MBuhari. This represents the end of an evil govt. and era. Thanks be to God. He is faithful. So after all the noise about Fulani herdsmen killings Oyedepo has the ball to openly endorsed another Fulani man to rule this country. Next time you appear on my tv I will turn it off. Hypocrisy!Oyedepo didn’t pick the flag bearers for the realistic contenders. Faced with two options, he has chosen the better one. He could very well still believe the north doesn’t have to rule, but since it has to be a northerner, better a nationalist than a clannish one.
