VIEWERS DISCRETION....SEE THE BOMB BLAST IN UNIVERSITY OF MAIDUGURI





So sad...A bomb explosion occurred at the University of Maiduguri mosque this morning. Here are graphic photos from the scene.
According to an eyewitness Baba Gani-Ali, Professor Mani, a Professor of Veterinary Medicine was among those killed during the early morning explosion. This is the first time that the University was attacked. All exams slated for today have been CANCELLED!

We learnt that the first incident occurred at the mosque of the University of Maiduguri during the fajir prayer at about 6.30am.
Police Commissioner, Damian Chukwu has mobilised bomb squad to the scene of the early morning suicide bomb attacks.
It was gathered that a Professor and two others were killed in the blast, while thirteen others were said to have been rushed to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.
“This is the first time they succeeded in causing serious damage on the University and I believe, this is due to laxity on the part of the security in the University”, one of the lecturers at the University said.
He said five people, including another lecturer, who were said to have been rushed to the University of Maiduguri Teaching hospital this morning are in critical condition.

The first suicide bomb attack occurred at the gate one mosque, while another went off at the entrance to gate five while Muslim faithful were going for the early morning prayers.
Fidelis Chidi blog  learnt that rumour of bomb attack has been going on for a long time, prompting the mobilization of security at gate one and two of the University.
‎Several times, the Boko Haram terrorists have made attempts to attack the University, but the military repelled them.

There was a bomb explosion in a mosque at the University of Maiduguri Borno this morning while students and staff of the university were observing prayer at 6:30 am. According to Sahara reporters, eyewitnesses said  that an explosion rocked the university early this morning and that security forces have been mobilized to the scene of the incident.


Several people have been reportedly killed and others injured, but there hasn't been any official confirmation of the casualties.
