NGO Donates 14 Toilets to Reduce Open Defecation in Jigawa

hehehehe..make total sense...because some Hausa people like shit for outside...hehehe... A Non-Governmental Organisation, Water Consumers Association, in Jigawa, on Thursday said it has embarked on the construction of 14 toilets in Malammadori Local Government Area of the state.
The Secretary of the NGO, Malam Muhammad Dodo, stated this when he was inspecting the project at Dunari village of the local council area.

Dodo said that the association would provide 14 Ventilated Improved Latrines (VIP) at Dunari and Garin-Gabas communities to reduce open defecation.
He said that the association was currently constructing eight modern toilets at Dunari, while similar project was completed at Garin-Gabas.
Dodo explained that the project was designed to reduce open defecation and enhance sanitation in rural communities.
According to him, the project was being executed in collaboration with a donor agency, Mobilisation for Development (M4D).
Also speaking, Alhaji Habu Zangina, the Director, Administration and General Services in the council, commended the gesture.
Zangina said the project would enhance public health system and protect the environment.
The director urged the people to desist from indiscriminate dumping of waste and always keep their environment clean. (NAN)
