The Black Satellites have been beaten 2-0 by Nigeria’s Flying Eagles in
the semi-finals of the ongoing African Youth Championships in Senegal.
The Ghanaians were seeking to make another final of the tournament
following successes in the 2009 and 2013 editions but their plans were were
complicated after Nigeria took the lead in the first half.

by Obinna Nwobodo.
The ball struck the inside of the post and went in off Ghana
goalie Michael Sai who had replaced Seidu Mutawakilu in the starting lineup.

The Black Stars began looking for the equaliser but their domination was
not turned into goals as their efforts could not find the net.
The second half followed the same pattern but the Nigerians broke
forward in the 71st minute and got their winger tripped by Ghana left-back
Patrick Asmah for a penalty.
