
Mikel Obi who announced the cancellation of his
contract with Teda a year before his contract with the club was due to
run out, might be joining Fenerbahçe.
Recall that the Super Eagles captain who is seeking a return to Europe for family reasons, told Tianjin TV Sports New Vision program:
“I
broke the contract with the club, which means I will leave Teda. As for
my next stop, I am not sure yet, maybe I will return to Europe, maybe
stay in China. Anyway, I would like to wish the TEDA team good luck next
season.”
However French outlet, L’equipe reported
that Mikel Obi might be moving to Fenerbahçe, as the Turkish giants are
interested in signing the 31-year-old this January transfer window to
bolster their midfield options.
